From January 1 to 22, the Technical Committee of the International University Sports Federation (hereinafter referred to as “FISU”) visited Changchun to inspect the preparatory work for the 33rd Winter Universiade in 2027. Entrusted by the Sports Competition Department of the Changchun Winter Universiade Interim Executive Committee, Jilin International Studies University selected 18 volunteers to provide translation services for the FISU inspection. With solid foreign language proficiency, a meticulous and rigorous work ethic, and enthusiastic service dedication, they received high recognition from both Chinese and international experts.

The selected volunteers, all master’s degree candidates majoring in English Interpretation and English Translation at the Graduate School of Translation and Interpreting, underwent rigorous specialized training prior to their assignment. During the service period, they were deployed to 12 key venues, fully engaged in conference interpretation, document translation, venue inspection accompaniment, and communication coordination. They accurately conveyed the preparatory details of Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade and efficiently built a solid bridge of communication between China and the international delegation. After the on-site inspections concluded, the volunteers also continued to coordinate related document translation work online.
