On June 18, Mu Hongyu, member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Political Department of Hunchun People’s Procuratorate; Feng Xu, Director of the Comprehensive Business Department; and Nan Xianji, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Business Department, visited the School of International Relations of Jilin International Studies University. They were received by Shi Wanqing Dong Zheng and other relevant personnel.

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on topics such as the cultivation of legal professionals with expertise in international affairs, establishing an innovative platform to advance the development of international rule of law and university academic programs. The two sides engaged in enthusiastic discussions on seven areas of cooperation, including the joint establishment of internship bases and the integration of Party building and cultural initiatives. They further reached consensus on fostering students’ domestic professional competencies and creating a distinctive legal culture brand for border regions together.

This meeting not only implemented the cooperative philosophy of “striving for excellence, being pragmatic, and seeking refinement” but also marked anbreakthrough in Jilin Province’s model of linking “university theoretical research with frontier judicial practice.” Moving forward, both sides will aim to “cultivate talents with both moral integrity and legal expertise, and serve the comprehensive law-based goverance”, promoting deeper integration between international legal education and the needs of border governance. Together, they will contribute wisdom and strength to the regional construction of the rule of law in the Northeast Asia.
