On the morning of June 13, 2025, a delegation led by Li Longxi, deputy Party Secretary and vice chairman of Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and organized by the Education, Science, Culture, and Health Committee, visited JISU. The delegation, consisting of provincial CPPCC members and experts, conducted a thematic inspection on “Constructing the ‘Great Ideological and Political Education Course’ Work System” and held a symposium. President Qin He accompanied the inspection team.
During the symposium, President Qin He elaborated on the achievements of building a high-level university through her “Five Persistent Principles.” She emphasized that as a private institution, JISU has consistently focused on strengthening Party building, ideological and political education. “We must unambiguously uphold the Party’s leadership and educational orientation,” she stated. “Centered on the fundamental question of ‘cultivating what kind of talents, how to cultivate them, and for whom,’ we prioritize moral education as the core task integrated into all developmental processes.” She highlighted the university’s “One Core, Two Wings, Six Dimensions, Six Integrations” ideological-political work system as a flagship initiative.
During the meeting, Zhang Yangzhi, assistant president, Wang Changhai, dean of the School of Marxism, and Miao Jing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of JISU, shared their practices and insights on building the “Great Ideological and Political Education Course” work system.
After listening to the presentations, vice chairman Li Longxi delivered a concluding speech. He said, “Every time I come to JISU, I have a fresh feeling. I fully affirm the achievements made in the university’s development—it is a model of private higher education under socialism with Chinese characteristics, which once again proves the superiority of the socialist system led by the Communist Party of China. President Qin He has adhered to the noble educational sentiments of ‘choosing education’, ‘loving education’ and ‘dedicating to education’ for 30 years, abided by the Education Law, and practiced upholding fundamental principles and pursuing innovations. She is a model of fostering virtue through education.” He added, “It is hoped that the university will summarize, refine and explore the spiritual connotations contained in its development, give full play to its exemplary leading role, set a model in the construction of the ‘Great Ideological and Political Education Course Work System’ in private universities, and contribute to JISU’s efforts in the project of fostering virtue through education in the new era.”

Before the symposium, President Qin He accompanied the inspection team to visit the Global Village and the library. The participating committee members highly recognized the university’s consistent adherence to the school-running concept of “everything is done for students’ growth, achievement and success” and the education concept of “operate school under supreme obligation with students as a center.” In particular, they fully affirmed the university’s approach of “Let the walls tell the stories, imparting knowledge to passing students”, which realizes cultural nurturing of the soul and environmental education.
