Recently, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jilin Province announced the results of the 2026 provincial-level foreign expert project selections. Three projects from Jilin International Studies University were selected: “Research on the Dissemination Practice and Innovation of China's Vocational Education in the Arab World under the Belt and Road Initiative Framework,” “Research on Security Assessment and Anti-Fraud Framework for Palm Vein and Palmprint Biometric Payment Systems in Intelligent Retail Scenarios,” and “Research on the Homecoming Entrepreneurial Practice Model and Talent Cultivation for Jilin Natives in South Korea through Cross-Border E-Commerce, Supported by Sino-Korean Expert Collaboration.”
Provincial-level foreign expert projects represent an important platform for Jilin Province to introduce high-level overseas intellectual resources and enhance universities’ scientific research innovation capabilities and internationalization levels. This approval fully demonstrates the university’s comprehensive strength in multidisciplinary integration, international research collaboration, and serving national strategies as well as local economic and social development. It also marks a significant achievement resulting from the university’s continued efforts to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation and to vigorously recruit overseas high-level talent.
Taking this as an opportunity, the university will further improve the mechanism for introducing foreign experts, strengthen full-process project management and service support, fully leverage the intellectual advantages and bridging roles of foreign experts, promote international research collaboration toward deeper and broader domains, continuously enhance the university’s core competitiveness and international influence, and provide strong support for building a high-level university with distinctive features.
