The university was honored with the title of “Supporting Institution for Changchun Winter Universiade Volunteer Training Courses.”
Subsequently, Professor Han Xiping delivered the first lecture on volunteer service to all volunteers. With professional instruction and profound insights, the lecture solidified the volunteers’ ideological foundation for service, enhanced their professional service awareness, and galvanized them to fully prepare for the upcoming Games. As one of the sub-venues for the opening ceremony, Jilin International Studies University organized over 100 volunteers to participate and learn via simultaneous online live broadcast.
It is understood that the Changchun Winter Universiade volunteer training program is divided into four phases: general knowledge training, professional knowledge training, venue-specific job training, and pre-service practical drills. As a “Supporting Institution for Training Courses,” JISU is responsible for the development, recording, and delivery of four modules of general knowledge training, covering three offline courses and ten online courses. The content encompasses event-specific general knowledge, an overview of Jilin Province and Changchun City, volunteer service etiquette, and emergency rescue skills, among other areas. The training adopts an innovative “online video + online live streaming + offline in-person” trinity teaching model to comprehensively enhance the volunteers’ overall competencies.

To ensure the quality of the training, the university organized eight Chinese and international faculty members and six students to participate in the course recording. Utilizing the Global Village, the Student Activity Center, the International Exchange Center, and other venues as settings, they simulated various scenarios that may arise during the Games, helping volunteers better master professional language and optimal modes of expression, and making thorough preparations for serving the Winter Universiade.
The university will strictly implement the Games’ training deployment, leverage its high-quality on-campus training resources and extensive experience from previous large-scale events, and build a professional and refined volunteer training system. It will further refine training content, hone service skills, and cultivate professional excellence, striving to fully showcase the youthful vitality of JISU students and contribute solid youthful strength to the successful hosting of the Changchun Winter Universiade.
