On April 22, the “World Greek Language Day” celebration, hosted by the Marianna Laskaridis Greek Cultural Center at Shanghai International Studies University, was held. Students of the Greek language program at Jilin International Studies University (JISU) were invited to participate online.

During the event, all students from Class 2301 of the Greek program presented a traditional Greek dance performance, synchronized with a showcase of the Greek Village teaching facility. In addition, the students jointly produced a themed video titled “Bridging Seas, Meeting in Greek” together with Shanghai International Studies University and Xi’an International Studies University, fully demonstrating the educational effectiveness of the university’s practice-based classrooms and the excellent spirit of JISU students.
The event effectively enhanced the students’ language application skills and cultural understanding, and strengthened their initiative and sense of identity in major-related studies. The School of Occidental Languages will take this event as an opportunity to continue deepening the construction of the Greek language program and the reform of practical teaching, continuously expanding inter-institutional exchanges and international education channels, and helping students consolidate their professional competence and improve their overall capabilities.
