Recently, Jilin International Studies University (JISU) officially signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Enhancing the International Development Capacity of Private Higher Education Institutions with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), Ministry of Education. Wang Daquan, Director-General of CSCSE, and Qin He, President of JISU, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will engage in comprehensive and in-depth collaboration across multiple areas, including study abroad services, quality enhancement of international student programs, international project cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship education, academic exchanges, faculty and student visits, administrative staff training, and policy consultation and professional guidance. The partnership aims to facilitate the introduction of high-quality international educational resources and enhance the university’s capacity for internationalization and core competitiveness. This signing marks a new phase of systematic, institutionalized, and regular cooperation between the two parties.
JISU has been actively advancing its international education initiatives. To date, it has established study abroad programs—including undergraduate dual-degree, combined bachelor-master, and master’s dual-degree programs—with over 200 universities and educational institutions in more than 40 countries and regions. The university receives approximately 300 international students annually. Each year, over 800 students participate in study abroad programs, including undergraduate dual-degree and combined bachelor-master programs, as well as short- and long-term language and cultural exchange programs, with some majors seeing up to 100% of students going abroad. Leveraging this opportunity, JISU will align closely with the national strategy of opening up in education, nurture high-caliber internationally minded talents, and contribute to Sino-foreign educational exchanges and the development of a leading country in education.
