On the evening of March 8, the “March 8th Women’s Day Evening Event”, organized by the Jilin Provincial Association for International Cultural Exchanges, was warmly held in the Juxian Hall of Guoxin Nanshan Hot Spring Hotel in Changchun. Nearly 50 Russian tourists gathered together to celebrate the occasion, marking the first time this group had experienced International Women’s Day in China and in Changchun. Khetila and Mariia, Russian international students from Jilin International Studies University (JISU), were invited to host the evening event, accompanying the guests through a joyful cross-cultural gathering.

Khetila and Mariia are not only international students from Russia but also outstanding international volunteers at JISU. Leveraging their native language advantage and proficient bilingual communication skills, they quickly enlivened the atmosphere with warm and natural interactions, serving as an important bridge of friendship between Chinese and Russian guests.
Their hosting performance received unanimous recognition from both the audience and the organizers, becoming a highlight of the event. The two students expressed their hope that this activity would allow Russian tourists to experience the warmth of Chinese festivals and the cultural charm of Changchun, infusing Sino-Russian cultural exchanges with warmth and goodwill.
