Recently, the 4th World Multicultural Knowledge Competition of Jilin International Studies University was held at the United Nations Village of the Global Village of JISU. After fierce competition, the Italian Village team won first prize, the French Village team won second prize, and the Czech Village team won third prize.
Competition venue
This competition aimed to promote students’ learning of Chinese and world cultural knowledge, broaden their international horizons, and deepen their understanding of the concepts of exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and building a community with a shared future for mankind. After rounds of selection in the preliminary and semi-final rounds, over 50 contestants from 14 representative teams, including the French Village, Arabic Village, and Thai Village, advanced to the finals, with over 100 teachers and students watching the competition. The finals featured required questions and buzzer questions, covering fields such as Chinese and foreign history, architecture, literature, and art, and also included an interactive audience Q&A session. The atmosphere at the venue was enthusiastic, and students eagerly participated, making multicultural knowledge more deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

This event aroused enthusiastic responses from the students. Everyone expressed that through this competition, they deeply felt the charm of diverse cultures. In the future, they will promote mutual cultural learning with an open and inclusive mindset, explore cultural mysteries, and serve as envoys of cross-cultural communication.
This competition inspired students’ enthusiasm for delving into foreign language learning and exploring diverse civilizations, effectively promoting cross-cultural mutual learning and integration. The university will continue to rely on the Global Village of JISU, keep enriching the carriers of multicultural education, focus on cultivating new-era foreign language talents with both national sentiments and international competence, and inject enduring youthful momentum into promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and spreading Chinese culture.
