The Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, jointly with the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Provincial Department of Education, and other departments, organized this promotion conference to continue to leverage the positive role of social organizations in facilitating graduate employment, following the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council regarding the employment of college graduates and the spirit of the notice issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on “Promoting Social Organizations to Further Assist College Graduates and Other Groups in Employment Work”.

President Qin He and attending leaders inspected the booths of participating organizations.

President Qin He and attending leaders learned about the innovative achievements of participating organizations.

At the event, a total of 55 social organizations and over 70 member enterprises offered 1,882 positions spanning various industries such as technology, education, and media to provide high-quality internship and job opportunities for the vast number of university graduates.

Student representatives from Jilin Province, other provinces, and international students delivered speeches successively. Meng Qi, a student majoring in Mongolian at JISU, spoke as a representative of students from other provinces. She said, “Jilin has never been a place to perform one-sided ‘thirsting for talents,’ but rather to witness ‘mutual achievement’. Here, we find the ecological treasure showing ‘ice and snow are also invaluable assets’, the industrial heritage of the ‘Eldest Son of the Republic’, the strategic opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative for northern opening-up, and, more importantly, the sincerity and expectation behind over 1,800 job opportunities. Today, we come to Jilin as ‘students from other provinces’; tomorrow, we will take root in Jilin as ‘Jilin builders’—because we believe: here, talent finds its stage, and effort earns respect; here, youth finds its platform, and dreams find their echo!”

Steve, an international student from Tajikistan at JISU, spoke as a representative of international students. He said, “Social organizations in Jilin have built a ‘bridge of trust’ for us through standardized management and considerate services. Choosing such a platform means not only finding a job for us but also, using our professional capabilities as a bridge, conveying the stories of ‘Made in Jilin’ and ‘Jilin Products Going Global’ to the world through our narratives, injecting youthful vitality into Sino-foreign economic and trade cooperation! Let us take today as a starting point, transform professional knowledge into a language of communication, brew cultural understanding into bonds of connection, and on this land full of both warmth and strength, unleash our youth, and achieve dreams that belong to both you and me!”

It is understood that prior to the launch of the Promotion Conference, relevant personnels from the Provincial Talent Exchange and Development Service Center, the Provincial Human Resource Service Industry Association, the Provincial Banking Association, and the Provincial Youth E-commerce Association conducted policy briefings and practical training sessions on topics such as “policies for retaining graduates in Jilin and Changchun”, “enhancing entrepreneurial human resource skills”, “financial support policies for graduate entrepreneurship”, and “e-commerce practical roadshows”.

Wu Zhiwei, director of the Jilin Provincial Social Organization Administration Bureau, stated that social organizations assisting with the employment of college graduates is not only a concrete manifestation of their role in serving the nation, society, the people, and the industry—the “Four Services”—but also an important opportunity to address talent development and their own capacity building. In the future, the 23,000 social organizations across the province will become a significant force in providing employment services, capable of directly offering jobs and internships to graduates, as well as broadly mobilizing member enterprises and other social forces to actively absorb employment and provide diverse services.
