Apr 9, 2025 04:40 PM

On April 9th, Jilin International Studies University and ITMO University jointly hosted an academic lecture as part of a “Transnational Synchronous Classroom”. Ms. Uliia Trabskaia, Director of the International Projects Center at ITMO University, and Ms. Zhang Junshu, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at JISU, served as the keynote speakers. Relevant personnel from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, along with faculty and students from the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, participated in the event.

The lecture focused on the theme “Role of Partners in Innovation Development”. It presented case studies of international cooperation from Russian universities and practical experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship education from Chinese universities. Special emphasis was placed on introducing 2025 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition. Guidance was also provided regarding arrangements and specific details for summer social practice activities. Students were encouraged to broaden their thinking and embrace bold innovation.

This event represents an innovative practice in higher education cooperation between China and Russia. The transnational synchronous classroom format not only broke through physical space limitations but also facilitated the deep integration of teaching methodologies and academic resources. This model will help cultivate internationally competitive interdisciplinary talents, promote the internationalization of higher education, and support the national innovation-driven development strategy.
