Recently, the project “Contemporary Silk Road: Promoting the Dissemination and Development of Polish Language and Culture in China,” jointly submitted by Jilin International Studies University(JISU) and the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, has been approved by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and granted funding.
The approved project aims to enhance the language proficiency of Polish language learners, foster teaching research and exchange in Polish language studies, and improve the teaching and research capabilities of Polish language instructors through activities such as Polish language courses, academic conferences, and collaborative textbook compilation. The project will be carried out by He Chundong, a faculty member of the Polish language program at JISU’s School of Central and Eastern European Languages, along with the director and researchers from the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The Polish Academy of Sciences is the highest-level scientific research institution in Poland. This marks the first collaboration between Jilin International Studies University and the Polish Academy of Sciences, signifying a meaningful step in advancing the school’s internationalization efforts, enhancing foreign language teaching standards, and improving the quality of international talent cultivation.
