Recently, the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Global Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners across the Globe was held in Changsha. Jilin International Studies University’s School of International Exchange selected five international students from Belarus, Tajikistan, and Vietnam to participate in the competition. Among them, Fan Mingming, a Vietnamese international student, won the “Style Award”.

The “Chinese Bridge” competition, using language as a bridge and stories as a medium, provides a platform for international students learning Chinese worldwide to showcase their talents and exchange cultures. It attracted Chinese language learners from many countries and regions. The Jilin International Studies University international student team told stories in Chinese about their connections with China and the Chinese language, sharing warm moments and growth insights from their study and life at JISU.
This award fully demonstrates the excellent Chinese expression skills and cross-cultural communication competence of international students at Jilin International Studies University. The School of International Exchange will continue to leverage brand events like “Chinese Bridge” as a vehicle to build diverse platforms for international students, using language as a bond to tell China’s stories, promote Sino-foreign friendship, and steadily deepen educational and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
