The 2026 Asian International Model United Nations (AIMUN), hosted by Peking University, was held in Beijing on May 22. At the invitation of the conference organizing committee, a delegation of four students from the JISU Model United Nations Association participated in the conference. Among them, Deng Renjie, student majoring in International Affairs and International Relations (Class of 2023) at the School of International Relations, was invited to serve as a member of the Dais.

Hosted by the School of International Relations at Peking University, the AIMUN has been held for 17 editions since its inception in 2007. Themed “Unity in Diversity: Mutual Learning among Civilizations and Peaceful Coexistence in Global Transformation,” this year’s conference sought to embrace a global perspective from an Asian vantage point, foster cultural exchange, and explore shared aspirations. Throughout the conference, JISU students demonstrated their professional competence through adept diplomatic skills, in-depth research on the issues under discussion, and exceptional public speaking abilities, showcasing their professionalism and dynamism. The delegation received high praise from the judges.

This participation fully reflects the university’s achievements in cultivating talent in international affairs. The School of International Relations will continue to build on its strengths in foreign languages and its commitment to cultivating professionals with expertise in international affairs. It will guide students in enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills and strive to nurture high-caliber talent with both an international perspective and a strong sense of national responsibility.
