The College Students New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Competition is a national event for full‑time undergraduates, sponsored by the National New Liberal Arts Center with the support of the Ministry of Education. It is the highest‑level competition for liberal arts students. This year’s competition, themed“Integration, Innovation, Empowerment, Practice for Renewal”, featured four categories: Literature/History/Philosophy, Economics/Management/Law, Education, and Arts. It attracted over 160,000 students from 423 universities across 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), with nearly 25,000 projects submitted. A total of 454 projects entered the national finals, and the Gold Award winning rate was less than 0.5%. Since the launch of the competition, the university has attached great importance to it, viewing it as a key opportunity to advance the development of new liberal arts and enhance students’practical and innovative capabilities. A total of 89 projects involving 525 participants from our university took part in the competition. After rigorous selection, 8 projects were recommended for the national finals.

This achievement fully demonstrates the high recognition of the innovative thinking and practical abilities of Jilin International Studies University students, and it is a vivid reflection of the university’s deepening efforts in new liberal arts construction and interdisciplinary talent cultivation. The university will continue to work diligently in the reform of new liberal arts education, consistently leverage the role of“promoting learning through competition”and“promoting teaching through competition,”and encourage more teachers and students to engage in practical innovation, translating professional knowledge into tangible outcomes that serve national strategies and regional development.
