Recently, the university held an all-staff meeting. President Qin He, with the title “Unite as One to Start Anew, Bravely Stand at the Forefront to Write a New Chapter, and Comprehensively Create a New Situation in the Construction of a High-level and Distinctive Foreign Language University”, conveyed the spirit of the National Two Sessions, summarized the main achievements of the university in 2024, analyzed the current situation, arranged the key work for 2024, and made a re-mobilization for the upcoming undergraduate education evaluation.
The content of the report aroused a warm response from all faculty and staff. Various teaching units have successively stated that they will keep up with the development pace of the university, go all out to do a good job in the construction for the new round of undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation, comprehensively improve the level of education and teaching, solidly enhance the quality of talent training, and contribute all their strength to the construction of a high-level university.
Song Xuezhi, Dean of School of Occidental Languages：Against the new situation and background of higher education, guided by the university’s development strategy, we must act in accordance with the trend and take proactive measures;we must not only have initiatives but also achieve results. Centering on the goal of foreign language talent cultivation, we will solidify industry-academia integration in terms of application; strengthen interdisciplinary studies in terms of comprehensiveness; and deepen international collaboration in terms of internationalization.
