On the afternoon of March 10, Jilin International Studies University (JISU) held the “Advancing the 2025 International Exchange Hub Construction Meeting Anchored by the ‘Seven Ones’ Strategy” at the International Exchange Center. The meeting was organized by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, with Miao Jing, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, in attendance. Vice President Wang Zhiguo delivered the keynote speech. Deans of various colleges, heads of international exchange offices, and directors of student affairs offices participated in the meeting.
The meeting emphasized that international exchange work serves as a key driver for the final push of the university’s 14th Five-Year Plan. Guided by the “Seven Ones” Strategy, efforts must be intensified to enhance the institution’s internationalization level. The year 2025 marks a crucial period for the university’s internationalization construction, requiring focused implementation of the “Seven Ones” Strategic deployment. Key areas include deepening exchange and cooperation, cultivating interdisciplinary talent, expanding partner institutions, innovating study-abroad mechanisms, broadening international influence, and improving faculty quality. These measures aim to ensure that internationalization achievements profoundly contribute to discipline development and the doctoral program application campaign, injecting strong momentum into the university’s high-quality development.
The meeting stressed that all departments must establish and improve safety early warning and emergency response mechanisms. Further improvements are needed in the selection, training, management, and follow-up feedback mechanisms for outgoing students. Tasks should be detailed with clear divisions of responsibilities, and approval processes must be standardized to provide robust institutional safeguards for the university’s internationalization strategy.
This meeting charted the course for the university’s international development in 2025. By clarifying key tasks, optimizing regulations, and strengthening the coordination mechanism for student dispatch and management, the university will focus on achieving critical indicators, elevating its internationalization level, and laying a solid foundation for advancing global development.
