The Enrollment Process for International Students of Jilin International Studies University

 

Step1 Check-in at the apartment of International Exchange Center. You can receive your access cards of both the main gate and your dorm in the Dormitory Management Office on the first floor of International Exchange Center after you have confirmed the room facilities and signed your name on the confirmation form.

 

Step2 Admission registration in the International Student Administration Office (Room 104) on the first floor of the International Student Building (International Exchange Center) You are expected to complete the following process there: fill in the International Student Registration Form, submit 4 photos to the counselor or secretary, view the work schedule, join Wechat Group of the international students, and know the time and place of the placement test.

 

Step 3 Registration of your identity on the “Face-Recognition Attendance Machine”. Face recognition is required every morning before class.

 

Step 4 Application for your campus card in Modern Education Technology Center (Room 107 Laboratory Building). With your campus card and your passport, you can go to the Student Service Center (the third floor) to apply for internet access service in your dormitory.

 

Step 5 Submitting the materials, including your passport and four photos of yourself, for applying for the residence permit at the International Exchange and Cooperation Office (Room 201 Comprehensive Administrative Building). Tuition fees and accommodation fees are also needed.

 

Step 6 Participating in the placement test on the specified date. Prepare the fees (about RMB 300) for purchasing the corresponding books on the next day according to the result of the placement.

 

Step7 Your are required to enter the classroom at least 10 minutes before the class begins each time. You may apply to the director of the teaching and research section of the international students for transfer to a more suitable class according to your practical Chinese learning level during the first week (before March 15). And any request of changing the textbooks in this case will not be accepted if they are not properly cared about or if anything is found written on them.
